Bruce, Christine and their lovely boys have been excellent hosts, creating a relaxed, peaceful, rural retreat. We have all benefited from excellent tennis coaching, and thoroughly enjoyed exploring on bikes. Aubeterre and St.Emilion were great day trips. Thank you and à bientot.

A week is not enough. Fantastic accommodation and hosts. All the children were occupied whether in the pool, the grounds, or on local visits. The days just flew by. We will be back.

Stayed end of October 2007. Cold mornings but the gite lovely and warm. We’ve stayed in France about six times now and this is definitely the best gite - lovely and clean. Christine and Bruce were great hosts and very generous with their time.

Do try the Chateau restaurant in Chalais whilst you’re here and, if you’re up to it, the bare back horse riding in the River Drome at Aubeterre. Bruce and Christine are the perfect hosts. We have had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this oasis of quiet tranquillity. After exploring the surrounding countryside on foot and by bike we are determined to return. The weather almost matched the warmth of Bruce and Christine’s hospitality.
