A former “Four à Pain”, Le Pommier is perfect for both couples and young families. It has a beautiful lounge retaining many original features, in particular the Charentais fireplace with a wood burner, but also a modern bathroom and kitchen, the former with bath and shower enclosure, the latter with fitted kitchen and all necessary modern appliances; gas cooker, grill and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, and washing machine. In the lounge there are a c.d. player with MP3 compatibility, a T.V. and DVD/VHS player.

Upstairs the large bedroom contains a double bed, single bed (with a further pull out single beneath),a vanity sink and a cot. There is also a fold out settee in the lounge. So whilst the cottage is perfect for romantic breaks, especially in the spring and autumn, it is also ideal for couples with one or two young children.

The front door opens out beneath apple boughs to a large, sloping lawn with a quiet terrace on the east side which is designed for summer breakfasts and shady siestas. The kitchen door opens out to the main terrace on the west side where lunch and evening meals can be enjoyed in the shade of the laurel hedge and bamboo canopy. Both terraces are furnished with hard wood tables and chairs.

The east side of Le Pommier opens directly onto the farmer’s fields and views of close by copses, whilst at the bottom of the lawn is a garden door which opens out onto the pool terrace and swimming pool

Le Pommier is beautiful in summer, but early autumn brings apples and figs, and winter the cosiness of the wood burner and the smell of oak logs.
